Nova Teasdale studied pianoforte at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Sidney Harrison, where she worked with pupils of Joseph Hislop before becoming a school teacher, and eventually Head of Music in several schools. After a break of twenty years to bring up her family Nova returned to her first love, accompanying, and for the last few years has devoted most of her time to music. She works with a number of operatic and choral societies as répétiteur, and as official accompanist
