Extract from Sunday, 5th August, 1979:
Harris wanted to remind readers that he had the pleasure of renewing his friendship with that well-known beer journalist, 'J'. He recalls that it was from his pen that the joys of Jerome K Jerome were reborn in the names Harris and George. Geordy Bill entertained us right royally.

Extract from Sunday, 2nd September, 1979:
A quiet day, with Harris away at the seaside. George, Viccy, Caspar & I drove to Nine Bridges and walked down to Etton and along Goose Bank, which had been scythed and was very pleasant. Just before Lolham Bridges George found some enormous mushrooms, which we hid and collected later after walking back along Maxey Cut.
Extract from Sunday, 23rd September, 1979:
Harris was away on a course, so George and I drove to Moulton Seas End, and walked out along the sea wall and back. We returned to the Hare and Hounds to see our good friend the landlord. There was a bright fire burning in the bar, which dried my clothes nicely. George had lost the crown of a front tooth; the remainder was quite weird and gave him a piratical appearance. We bought crisps for the dogs, who refused them. "Did you see the warning on the packet?" George said. "Careless talk costs lives."
